PRIVATE PATIENTS WELCOME

What is a root canal treatment?

The root canal is underneath the hard surface of the tooth and contains soft tissue known as the pulp. This can become infected and, if left untreated, can spread to other parts of your mouth. One way we can treat and save the tooth is with root canal treatment. We will take an x-ray to identify any infection, before removing any affected pulp without having to have more extensive treatment. The procedure’s carried out under local anaesthetic to ensure the process is as painless as possible.

It’s important to act quickly, so get in touch to arrange an appointment. Even if the pain goes away, that doesn’t mean that the issue has! Dental check-ups can help to identify and prevent infection before it reaches this stage, so make sure you see our dentists on a regular basis.
