PRIVATE PATIENTS WELCOME

Find out about our rapid response care

Dental emergencies are stressful and painful. At Chapel Dental, we reserve dedicated daily slots to ensure that patients from all across West Cornwall can access fast, effective relief.

What constitutes a dental emergency?

  • Severe or throbbing toothache.

  • A knocked-out or loose permanent tooth.

  • A broken, chipped, or cracked tooth.

  • Swelling of the gums, face, or neck (signs of an abscess).

  • Lost fillings, crowns, or bridges.

What to do in an emergency?

While you wait to see our surgical team in Camborne, follow these preventative steps:

  • For a knocked-out tooth: Handle it by the crown only. Rinse gently with water and try to place it back in the socket, or keep it in a small container of milk.

  • For severe swelling: Apply a cold compress to the outside of your cheek and avoid hot food or drink.

  • For pain relief: Take over-the-counter painkillers (following the packet instructions), but do not place aspirin directly on the aching gum.
